No MoonSwatch for me, so let's go for the best customer service ever (Seiko purchase)
This morning I went early and ready to smile to the party that Swatch organized in Madrid with more than 500 people. Too bad that more than smiles, there were sweat, tears, and a few plastic watches (very few).
I left the party with a sour taste, and went to see some Seikos. I walked past a Seiko AD with everything at 20% off, and went in to see the little shop.
In this jewellery shop there were only two employees inside and one customer. They were still putting the watches on their shelves when I arrived.
A guy named Jorge greeted me as soon as I arrived, offered me a seat in an armchair while he finished his work with the displays, and offered me a coffee or a bottle of water.
Then Jorge started pulling out Seikos (10 or 15 easily), and I discovered that he was also a watch enthusiast (he was wearing a UFO-shaped watch from the 70s). He pulled out an Explorer II and we continued chatting about watches, having a good time.
In the end I loved the 5KX in the picture, a model with a black dial and bezel, gunmetal pvd case, and an amazing silicone and "alligator" strap.
Jorge sold me the watch in the picture at a great price, he even offered me gift wrap (knowing it was for me) and gave me the box of a much more expensive Seiko.
I left the shop with a bag and a smile on my face. Best party ever.
Do I like watches? Of quartz I do!
In Spain a Swiss watch company stirs up a market frenzy about a modest watch and a Japanese company captures a sale with good customer service and a good product. Capitalism and World Trade for the win.

Yes but I ended up with something way more expensive but well worth the price and I'm glad I waited to splash my cash. New Sinn 556i Gem Collection in Blue. I bet the colour doesn't leak out of this one 😂

In my case, I wanted to spend the same amount I was going to spend on the MoonPlastic watch. And I did not have an automatic Seiko in my collection at the moment, so I'm very glad I did that. I'm loving the 5KX 🤩
I don't need more expensive pieces for now, my Datejust, Nomos and Hammy chrono are fine for now. We'll see in the future 😂

Mate you have some great watches in your collection anyway and the addition of the Seiko 5KX is a great choice, there is nothing wrong with a Seiko, I've always been a Seiko fan boy and still am with a couple in my collection.
As soon as I receive the Sinn I'll be posting a wrist shot 100% my friend. In the meantime you enjoy that stunning new Seiko, I think you got an absolute bargain there 👍

I can't believe this ahah, because I was not able to buy a moonwatch I ordered an used SRPD55 as well! 😅 I believe it is the exact same model because it as the rubber + lather strap and by the photo looks like yours does as well 😅👏👏
