Paul, the gold looks brighter than I might expect. Is that the photo color adjustment, or are they using a lighter gold allloy? How did you like the heft of it?
Now this what I’m talking about Paul! What a piece!! What are you thoughts?
While I'd be willing to purchase it at its retail price, it's currently being offered at twice that amount, which gives me pause. Despite this, I had a very positive meeting with Audemars Piguet (AP), which makes me hopeful about the possibility of acquiring other pieces from them in the future. Perhaps after I acquire a few, I can get something of this caliber in the future.

The photo hasn't been altered; the bright lighting in the jewelry store is likely giving the gold its lighter appearance. The illumination there tends to amplify the shine and color of the jewelry.
Interesting dial… not sure about the 37mm size case
It seems you have a preference for larger watches, which is fine. I find it fascinating that 36-37mm was once the standard size for men's watches. For decades, the 36mm Day-Date stood as the epitome of the men's watch. In my view, a 37mm size is ideal for the Royal Oak, especially when considering the lug-to-lug width and the way the bracelet drapes over the wrist.
My wrist is on the smaller side for a man my age, which might explain my appreciation for smaller watches. I do however believe it's time for a shift back towards smaller watch sizes.
For my part, I'm set on purchasing a 37mm model for my first direct acquisition from Audemars Piguet (AP). After that, my goal is to increase my spending with them to eventually acquire a Jumbo, as I understand it's one of their most coveted models. This turquoise reference is particularly appealing to me as I have an affinity for natural dials. Have a good one, my friend!
Hi Paul, the Jumbo is a great piece and the 37mm AP wears more like a 39 from most other brands. I think I’m used to wearing larger watches now and it’s hard to go back / even the Daytona looks small compared to 41mm AP Chrono😁

It was gorgeous in person. I hope to one day acquire a stone dial RO or Day-Date. 🥵🔥🔥
