A rendezvous after dark; my Spinnaker Spence has just arrived

Here I am, being on tenterhooks all day waiting for my latest watch when I got a message from the courier; turned out he got delayed in traffic, so if I don't mind a delivery past sundown.

I said no problem and true to his word, he arrived with my package (his last for the day) around 35, 40 minutes after sundown.

So yeah, got my Spinnaker Spence Crimson for $580 at a local watch shop. Turns out they're carrying several microbrands and I found the Spence at a small discount.

Yeah, not as exciting as buying the black one that's on sale at their website ($349) but I consider just having to wait 24 hours compared to 5-11 days of international travel time and not having the customs pawing at my stuff like the Zelos is worth it.

Here are the pictures. For now I'm putting this on a temporary orange rubber strap (we'll see how it goes).

*sighs*

I really have to learn to resist end of year sales, don't I.

Beautiful watch! Big bonus points for using the correct word, being on "tenterhooks," not "tender hooks." 😎 Now if we could only stop people from saying "butt" naked instead of "buck" naked. (Can ya tell misusing language drives me nuts? 🤣)
