Help me identify this watch please!

Hi hive mind. I have this watch here and I cannot find anything about it online other than it uses an ETA 955.114 quartz movement. The brand is clearly visible but I have searched for Ticard, Tilard, Ticarol and Tilarol and nothing. Am I misreading the logo? I think the watch dates to the 90s.

I think that you are right about the "t", definitely about the "i". I think the third letter is a capitol "C", then an "a" and an "r". The last letter may be a "d" or an "l". And you have tried each combination, and so have I. I am flummoxed.

I searched for different variations of the logo and also the logo itself on the Google image search engine, but I couldn't find anything either. It could be that the company no longer exists, but I would be more inclined to think that someone just modified it with the name and logo, because if you notice below the logo at six o'clock there is a dot above it, it is quite possible that they made a mistake as they touched there with a brush. Well, I'm curious about the comments as well, if by any chance someone does recognize this watch. Its looking very good, it would be nice to know what they are

@Aurelian @martin1111 Thank you both for trying. It's appreciated. I have just removed the movement and dial from the case to see if I can get a better look.

I wonder if there will be anything there 🤯👍

Sadly not. You may well be right in thinking it is a self build.

If it is a self-build, you at least have the satisfaction in knowing that it is a one-of-a-kind piece. A nice thing to have in any collection. 😎

Been trying to find info on this for days now. Is the watch case made of titanium?

That would explain the 'ti' part.

Perhaps the watch makers name/surname is Carol, making this the

tiCarol

The Q or possibly Q2 could actually be the model name.

The . Doesn't look like a mistake to me given that it falls exactly on the axis between 12 and 6

The case feels too heavy to be Titanium to me, I think it is stainless steel. I am firmly of the opinion that it is a self build but I could of course be very wrong. Thank you for looking, and sorry if it has given you a headache!

Also regarding the dot and the Q, I think they add further weight to the possibility of it neing a self build. It seems to me that the person may have originally intended to place the Q there but changed their mind, and if you notice, the Q is just off centre. It is most definitely a painted rather than printed dial.

Yeah, I've given up hope of finding an answer. Still it's a beautiful piece even if you don't know its history.
