Hodinkee - Just Saying
Just got an email (yeah, I'm on their list somehow) entitled Watches Worn Around Hodinkee HQ. I just gotta say, two G-Shocks and a Timex? Not to dis Gshock or Timex, I have both and are good in their own respect, but really? I would have hoped for more. At least a Baltic or something more mid range. After all, these people sell watches, higher end stuff often.
Enough said.

Did the email invite you to “shop the email”?
Hodinkee staff are not watch enthusiasts. They are writers who write prose about objects. They are photographers who take pretty pictures. They are sales hucksters who move product. They are accountants who figure out how to get more money from suckers who actually like watches.
There may be a watch enthusiast or two in there somewhere but it is primarily a business focused entirely on profit.

Curious. I read an article, maybe 5 years old, that the staff had some expensive pieces.
