Next Miyota 9075 release? Could be promising...

Came across a microbrand called Jack Mason the other day here on the Crunch. Did some research and it looks like they just announced a GMT with the highly anticipated Miyota 9075 movement this morning.

I've been reading a lot of hype around this movement and seeing microbrands slowly get a hold of it is just awesome. Is this something to keep an eye on?

Hmm... Might have to keep tabs on this one.

I've been hearing all the chatter about the 9075 movement but was kind of disappointed with the design Bulova came out with. Not really the style of GMT I was hoping for when I heard about the movement. Makes sense that they were the first ones to release since both bulova and miyota are owned by citizen... Now I'm just really excited to see what the microbrand scene will do with it.

Also, I have smaller wrists so the Bulova 43mm is just too big in the first place. I hope the watch isn't true to size in the video... 🤣

Definitely keeping tabs on this one...

I agree with you on the Bulova design. I was on the fence about that one. The design was okay for me but just not all the way there. It feels a bit too dressy in my opinion and would love it on a bracelet. I am quite excited to see where microbrands take this movement since it is all so new.

Cheers!

I'll be awaiting upcoming 9075 releases in good company it seems like!

Yeah... the bulova dial was a bit too "on the nose" for me.

We're in this together! Just glad I have some excitement on this Monday in my cubicle.

Haha! The Bulova dial was just almost there...too literal?

Here's an already existing option:

I would have loved a 38-39mm version, though.

Wow thanks for sharing, I have not heard of this one. Looks great, but I am hoping for a 40mm or less to come. Agreed, 38-39 would be awesome.

Wow, this is so cool to see! I've only been on the Crunch for a short while, but the community here is just awesome. I can confirm, we are indeed launching a new GMT watch with the Miyota 9075 movement. As you can see, I'm taking viewers through the entire design process of this watch on a weekly Youtube series. I thought it would be a fun way for all of us, including myself, to get excited about the launch! What do you guys think so far? Is this content you would enjoy?

This is wonderful news and exactly why I love this community. Love the series so far, and very excited to see what's next.

I wanted to ask: What will the size be for your GMT? Is that something you can spoil us with??😁

I’ll keep an eye on this for sure! I checked out the brand and there designs aren’t bad at all

This watch will sit at 40mm. 41mm if including the bezel grip. The bracelet will be 20mm tapering to 16mm. What do you think of those measurements?

Wow… it is so cool to get a glimpse of your process. I wouldn’t even know where to start haha. How long until we know more about the specs and can place an order? Need to know when I’ll be spending my money 🤣

But seriously, after doing some research on the brand, I saw that you’re located in Dallas just down the street from me… small world!

Very happy to hear this, especially from Jack Mason. I have a solar and quartz worldtimer by Jack Mason and am very impressed with the quality for the price. Definitely looking forward to the JM 9075 (keep up the good work @TimeToDesign!), but not that much with the designs from Bulova and Zeppelin.

I saw their solar watches and they have peaked some interest! How do you like yours?

·

I like it very much. The attention to detail is strong

@timegeek Thank you for the kind words and always awesome to hear about which watches our customers own. Be sure to follow our socials and YT to stay in the loop on the upcoming Strat-o-timer. This will be a good one! Thank you for the support!

@TimeToDesign I assume the 48 click bezel is bi-directional?
