Phoibos leviathan- special edition with a bronze case
I got a early Christmas gift from my dear girlfriend. Recently she got me a phoibos narwhal which i will post soon but she heard me talking about this piece so she got it too.
I absolutely love open hearts, I know some people think it's a lazy design or do not like it, however, I am a fan of open hearts, not all but if done right I like it.
I fell in love with this watch the very moment I opened it from the box. Sporting a bronze case, a wonderful unidirectional click bezel, 500 m whopping water resistance, a helium pressure valve etc etc. I mean I love it.
Have to admit it is quite a large watch having a 54mm lug to lug and it's quite heavy I suppose for a watch 180g if I measured correctly, now I'm a big dude for me all watches are light and feel small on the wrist so for me this is a perfect size and weight since I actually feel there is something on my wrist.
Now when it comes to readability of the dial, I like it, for some I guess this might be a bit not enough but I'm fine with it I knew what I was getting.
My only major complaint and I don't know if I'm just unlucky is the quality control, in my Narwhal watch I received last week, I found a microscopic tiny hair particle or dust particle at the 5 o'clock mark, on this leviathan watch on the open heart I can see that the balance wheel and the area around it has what it seems a fingerprint mark, now I may be tripping but when compared to other open heart watches I own, I haven't spotted this weird effect. Now I have to admit these both issues are almost invisible if not looked at from close distance and observed.
All in all I love phoibos and I'm in love with this awesome diver, the click bezel is probably the best bezel I have felt, I will actually use this watch for diving and as you see the lume is incredible. I will be getting more phoibos watches, I just hope they will address this QC issue.

Now I also need to add, that I got two different straps with the watch, a leather strap which felt quite high quality and a rubber one. I switched it to a rubber strap since the watch feels very rugged and the rubber fits better to that look. Another thing is I got the watch for little over 8670 czk (350$) which is an incredible bang for the buck, I'm not sure I can find a better specced watch for that price
