Omega Straps
If I have one consistent complaint about Omega...it's their strap options. I love Omega. I have eight (8) of them. For this comment, two of them I don't count as they are vintage.
The straps, too often, are boring. Like, teeth numbingly boring. I now have my third dull brown strap in my watch parts kit. I love the strap itself. The padding, the curved end (where applicable), the bolster and the general quality of the construction. Top notch.
Then, they really don't offer you any replacement options. Sure, there's a pile of uber-bright NATO's, there's rubber & 'sailcloth.' But I'm talking leather, natural hide of some sort. Or, even crazier, offer a strap with contrasting stitching. They're beautiful. But you have to call an Omega store and sometimes they can get you one. But for my Seamaster's? Two choices, dull brown or solid black.
I get it. The watch is the star of the show. But an offering of complimenting straps is well overdue. Now, done with my whining, the secondary market does offer many quality choices (they'll just never be OEM). Of those, VGreen has been my favorite so far. Just attached another one of theirs. A black shark skin with white stitching. Until Omega wakes up, check this out...

Omega straps are grossly overpriced, irrespective of material used. I don't even look at their collection as I refuse to pay that kind of money for a strap.
Just now I'm wearing my Seamaster 300M diver on a Sinn leather strap & I think it compliments it perfectly.
Their NATO's aren't my first choice, I use Watchgecko & Staib mostly on my SM300 .
The secondary (maybe I should be calling it the 'primary') strap providers strike again. Just received this from Tuns. I went crazy. A taupe-colored alligator strap with white stitching. No, I'm not expecting Omega to do this, but dull brown & black as only options? And the cost? About one-quarter versus Omega.
The dial is a unique gray color. So, I'd been looking for something compliment it. Looks better in person than this pic is showing it.
