A bit of my experience at District Time part 1

As you walk in the door you are met by Loren @TheTimeBum himself. With a huge smile he hands you a copy of the Hodinkee book

Side note the photos at the first few sets of pictures are a bit crap. I was so excited talking with company owners that I paid little attention to what the camera was doing.

First up McDowell Time a local Maryland independent micro brand run by Bill McDowell. One particular watch I have been waiting to see is the Rockville, named after my hometown. A wrist friendly 40/20, SS, sapphire 120 click ceramic bezel.

This runs on the Maryland Watch Works (MWW) 7081 movement. Basically a 2824 modified, hand assembled and regulated in Hagerstown, MD

I had the pleasure of speaking with Allen Tsao of Tsao Baltimore. I honestly forgot to take more pictures because of him🤣 . They also use the MWW movement calling it the MD-1 and the custom rotor is 🔥🔥

A brief stop at Canopy Watch. With DLC hardening and forged carbon bezel inserts

Another owner I was excited to meet in person was Jason Hutton of Zenea Watches out of Canada. I learned about Zenea Watches from my buddy @Trapvision3d who spoke with him during the livestream I posted last week. His ULA Diver is an amazing time piece

I skipped the MASSIVE crowd around CW for the moment

On to the back half of the show I visited a company that is new to me Typsim. Gorgeous watches using acrylic crystals and some fun designs.

Finally I got to hold one of my personal grail pieces Towson Watch Co. Unfortunately the Mission Moon was not on hand. He did the Choptank. With the Valjoux 7751 chronograph, moon phase, full calendar and rose engine dial.

Also the prototype of the manual wound Sherwood

What a fun time and a great event!!

I have so many pictures it wouldn't let me post all at once. I had to break it down into 3 posts

·

wow wow wow wow wow some of these watches are spectacular

·

Had an awesome time ! I was lucky enough to meet @TheTimeBum and a few great brands !

·

Wow! Amazing! Had no idea this event was even a thing! Thanks for sharing all this!

I went Sunday, what great show! Everyone was so down to earth, the crowd was super considerate, allowing everyone to get a chance to see what they wanted to see. I was excited to meet the guys from NODUS and the owners of Lorier (two of my favorite brands of all time) and they were super nice to this gushing fanboi- and were generally grateful and excited about how much I loved their brands. Visitor and Traska booths were also a great learning experience and I will mosdef be picking one of each up as budget allows. Cant wait till next spring! Thanks for all the images. See you next year.

We need to setup a singular post so we can put our pictures. It's so hard to find people when we don't know their faces. Or a designated WatchCrunch stand

I'm sure it was overwhelming, taking pictures and mental notes simultaneously. Good right up. These are the ones that caught my attention from this post.

Me too. I was having so much fun talking with Allen Tsao that I didn't get all the pictures that I really wanted 😕

That's actually a screenshot from the website. Basically the front of this watch
