Swatch Graphite

Was filling in time at Rome airport, so wandered into Rolex & Omega duty free to window shop. Rolex had a few “display only” watches but no one at the counter to ask questions of.

Omega were very happy to talk & offer watches to try on. However I couldn’t see any savings compared to those back home 🇦🇺.

Then I went into the Swatch store. They had 6 types of Moonswatch for sale. A couple of English lads purchased a Pluto & Mars within minutes.

I hadn’t seen these up close before. The Earth & Pluto were the pick for me, however they didn’t really do it for me (other than the attraction that they were collectables to others). I had left over Euro to spend & contemplated buying one.

But then I spotted the “Graphite pay” with green hands & circumference. It looked fantastic to me & for 70 Euro I couldn’t say no. The service at Swatch was very good, especially considering the volume of people come in to look.

This watch is set up for Swatch Pay, which sounded handy. However that service isn’t yet available in Australia. It wasn’t a consideration when I purchased, so no issue there. I just love the look & colour scheme. Also the silicone strap is super soft & comfortable.

The only negative- it’s 3 bar water resistant & not recommended for swimming.

I like a Swatch, all depends, yours looks like a cracker to me. Of course you can swim in it, just keep your watch hand out of the water.

I have to agree, Pluto is easily my favourite, with Earth second.

I have only one that’s all I need. I wear at a picnic or ride to the market. They are loud tickers.
