Citizen Attesa Info Request!

Is there anyone out there who has, or has seen this watch in real life? Model number is H115-T013104.

I assume it is a JDM, but I cannot find any information, manuals, etc. There are a couple of auction site listing in various countries and languages, but we all know those lack real data.

I have no willpower, and this watch is already on its way... so I'll answer this myself at some point, but I'd love to hear others opions if they have any!

Thanks.

I am sorry I cannot help, I am always looking at Attessa on the JDM sites. Looking forward to your thoughts. Rare as hen's teeth in most places.

Here some manuals that you can probably run through google lens to translate: https://citizen.jp/support/guide/h115.pdf

That's probably a discontinued model. If you want more on the Attesa line up and what's available you can check this site out: https://www.sakurawatches.com/watches/citizen-watches/filter/19-collection,attesa

I would probably buy a used one on Ebay or Chrono24 no where else. Buy the seller not the watch.

Also two points here.

  1. From experience I bought my wife a radio controlled watch that was an Asia only model. meaning it does not work in the US and you have manually adjust the time.

  2. The User states is a 2008 which it makes the watch way over 10 years old check if the battery has been replaced.

Thanks for the info! I was able to find a H111 manual, and it did mention Asia-only radio reception. My guess is this one will be too.

I've got the spoof app on my phone I've used in the past, and in reality the accuracy of a quartz is good enough for me that radio control is secondary to the worldtime function in this watch.

It's interesting in the post you linked he calls it a ATD53-2913, Ill have to look up that model number too.

Good point about the battery! I'll see how it holds up once I've got hands-on.

I definitely will. Had a good chat with the seller on *auctionbay and he actually brought up unbidden that the watch is confirmed to only work via radio wave in Japan, and asked if I wanted a refund. Also linked instruction manuals and other info (all in Japanese though!). So barring a bad shipping experience, they'll definitely get a recommendation from me, and their storefront is chock-full of JDM models.

I figure a combination of manual setting, and the radio-wave spoof app on my phone should get me what I want. I can even spoof the local (US) time, just in the JPPY encoding, and the watch doesn't know/care.

I'll update once I have hands on.

So it just came in this afternoon! 2-day shipping from Japan, couldn't ask for better.

Short version; loving it, radio reception is Japan regional, but the phone app *almost gets me there. For now I've set it up manually, though I'm sure there is an offset in one setting that I'm overcorrecting in another to make it work.

The clasp has a 3-position micro-adjust ratchet! A welcome addition, though it has no tension and slips to the largest position when I take it off. Doesn't happen on-wrist, and is simple to set before I put it on. also, the bridge is milled! Clasp still stamped/bent though.

Official review to follow, but here are some pictures! Not sure about the strap vs bracelet, and this green probably isn't "the one"... but had it on before I realized the collar/pin adjustment was a breeze to do, so back onto the bracelet for now!
