Seiko Sub Mod “Vintage Pumpkin”

I just got this super inexpensive Seiko Sub mod from a custom builder on Etsy.. and I can’t stop wearing it 😂. It’s smaller than I’m used to at 40mm but evidently this size is good for me. Idk what it is but wearing this just makes me happy. And it keeps insanely accurate time with an automatic NH35 under the hood!

I understand the sentiment. Hard to explain though… it has something to do with having a reliable, mass produced, well designed, inexpensive automatic movement in a rugged case with good lume. I feel the same with my seiko turtle and SD1970’s

Great piece! Watches can look great at every price point.

Nice bolt action pen. Can't make out the brand, who is it?

Thanks! The pen is a Brian Fellhoelter.. I collect his pens too and they are an entirely different rabbit hole!

It’s just uniquely charming I suppose. The problem is now I think I want an actual Submariner 😂

Downside of nice pens, you feel bad when you forget them or lose them, not that it stops me however 😂.

I’m not sure how but I can honestly say I haven’t lost one yet. I only keep one in my armor for work and the fancy ones in the photo don’t go to work.
