Visited Toppers Jewelers today!
Decided to swing by Toppers Jewelers today after work to try on some pre-loved watches. I ended up taking one home by trading a few of my Ball Watch Company watches + cash.
If you’re in the SF Bay Area and haven’t stopped by Toppers in Burlingame, you’re definitely missing out. The Preowned selection is so good.

Heard about Toppers but never been. Honestly, I feel out of place at a jewelry store as everything is outside of my price range. If you have to ask how much it costs, you can’t afford it 😂

Im not gonna lie I still feel this way no matter what but going to the watch events hosted by the stores always helps out. Everyone is on the same page just to hang out with watch nerds and try on different watches. Definitely check out jewelry stores when they host evening or day events as its a good start in getting comfortable with the store vibes + people.
So, which one went home?

I'm guessing the Soko went home, given it is no longer on their website? (I only know this as I just acquired the same model, though from a different dealer). Toppers has some of the best prices on pre-owned watches, as my wallet unfortunately knows all too well. 😄 And while I have yet to be able to visit in person, I have always enjoyed talking with their staff via phone during purchases.
I love Toppers and while they now are an official Omega boutique, they also sell Seikos (not just Grand Seikos) and G-shocks. I used to love them but, lately, despite purchasing several watches from them, they have been unresponsive to recent emails. I so wanted to buy the new Zodiac Skeleton watch from them but never got an answer from them so decided to buy from Exquisite Timepieces instead.

No lie I got the same exact situation with exquisite lol .
I sent 3 watch inquiry ready to buy 3 separate times. No response….
Finally got a generic response from the CEO Tim, checking on things. I told him exactly what happened and he got somebody to call me asap! They even sold me a brand new watch for Preowned price to make it right. After that excellent customer service after I then traded with the same sales rep 3 weeks later for another watch.
Sometimes we just need to grab the right people…. I’d give toppers a chance again but directly go to Rob as he’s the best!
PS: Graham at Exquisitie is awesome, I’ve worked with him 2x now.

Lol yeah I took home the Soko. Traded 3 ball watches I bought from them the last few months and some cash. The dial really grabbed me but man that Tudor I’m still thinking about.
I pretty much visit Toppers once every few weeks now since I work 5 minutes away from the store. I’m always on the Friday Preowned released hype!

I agree and thanks for the advice re. Rob at Toppers. I worked with Jenya at Exquisite Time Pieces for both my Zodiac Skeleton and my grail watch, my GS White Birch, and she was awesome.

Rob at Toppers! He’s the owner a big watch guy he’s on watchuseek mostly as thats how I started 10 years ago.
Graham at exquisite is who I use but now I’m gonna go bother him for maybe a white birch later on lol
