The all-ADLC Santos de Cartier: GADA love it!
Since acquiring the all-ADLC Santos for a milestone birthday last year, I've grown more and more enthusiastic about this watch. It's earned the top spot in my rotation with a nearly perfect combination of wearability and looks. It's edgy and elegant at the same time.
The ADLC models only come in the "large" model but it wears smaller than you'd think. Actually, it wears very comfortable on my 7.25" wrist with both straps being easily adjusted. The deployant clasp also keeps the extra strap length tucked nicely on the inside.
It flies under the radar when I'm out amongst muggles and would-be thieves. It's uber comfortable to wear on the black rubber strap (rarely do I swap for the black alligator strap) which it's on most of the time. But when I do, it fits right in on those nights where you want to "class" it up a bit. Plus, I never worry about scratching or dinging a bracelet. This is a true GADA watch.

Congrats on the Santos and the milestone birthday! I have the SS version with the ADLC bezel and love it. When I'm in the mood to wear it, nothing else will do, however I also find some days where I look at it and it just doesn't appeal at all. As with most Cartier designs, it can be quite polarizing, but overall I consider it one of the highlights of my collection.

Thank you, but the BD just means I'm getting old. Wiser, yes, but older. 😜 I think because it's square it doesn't get many comments. At a distance for the uninitiated, it could look like an Apple watch. If you happen to be close enough, Cartier dials tend to draw the eye in. The black dial with white roman numerals is no different.

Indeed, I've casually looked at the Delugs site but haven't quite found another strap I fancy just yet but I would like to play with some color.

Love it. I am a big fan of Cartier and own a Tank. I will surely grow my Cartier collection and the Santos is next on the list.

Thanks. That was certainly the effect it had on me in person too. Before then the SS Santos with white dial was more visually appealing to me in video and photos. In Las Vegas, I got to look at them side-by-side and try them on as well. Once I put the all-ADLC on my wrist, I basically had to have it and it came home with me.
