Last week I posted that I went on road trip with my father on which I wore my Daytona. We drove over a 1,000 miles (1,600+ km) from Oklahoma to Ohio in one day. I timed our drive around 16 hours from start to finish including a few pit stops along the way. Now, 16 hours in a car probably isn't anyone's idea of a good time but it gave my father and I a chance to talk about all sorts of things. The type of conversations good friends have.
I'm happy that we're in a place in our lives where we can bond over a long drive and trip together. We went to Ohio to visit family. We ate good food, drank good whiskey, reminisced about days gone by, and laughed (a lot).
I got more contiguous wrist time with my Daytona than any other stretch since I've owned it. It never felt nor looked better to me than it did during those 8 days. This past Wednesday we returned after another 16-hour drive. Tired but fulfilled.
A man, his watch, and his dad. It was the end of the road... and I feel fine. 😎
