SEIKO 6105 c 1973 RETIREMENT

After nearly 50 years of service,  my Seiko 6105, my first legit watch, is being retired from rotation and moved permanently to the strongbox for safekeeping.   Never serviced, and with only the band replaced, it performed beyond all expectations.

Thank you.

Why not have it serviced to keep it in the rotation?

Even if serviced I really want to avoid the change of harming it accidentally.  I thought about it,  and that was my weighed decision.   But you are correct. It could have remained in service under those circumstances.  Thanks.

Vintage Seikos are my utter weakness. This one is beautiful and it makes my heart ache to think of it sitting unworn, though I understand your reasoning behind doing so. 🍻

The heartache of losing or breaking it would be worse.   But thank you for your kind words.
