Restoring the hands on a Radium Lume'd Watch

Today I began working on the restoring the hands of a radium lume'd watch my friend gave me. The first order of business was to remove the rust, and then the radium lume from the hands. Afterwards I rinsed the hands in alcohol, before running them through the ultra-sonic cleaner. The next step will be to polish them and reblue them.

When you polish the hands and relume them they will stand out like a sore thumb on the weathered dial. Clean them up and color the lume with coffee to retain the vintage look. Its like painting the front of an antique car but leaving the patina on the rest of it.

Polishing is only the next step. Far from the last 🙂 but I need to deal with some minor pitting first.
