I have one, and it would be nice if I could hand wind it. That takes about five seconds, and then you know it's done.

A Seiko 5 with the 7S26 movement could benefit from a handwind option if you don't wear it every day. However, the location and shrouding of the crown would make handwinding difficult on my SNK809. So you end up shaking it every day, wearing it every day, or putting it on a winder gadget.
