Shiny v Matte dials

Do you prefer a shiny/Sunray dial that reflects a lot of light or a matte dial?

There's nothing wrong with that! But I just noticed that I only have one shiny/sunray dial in all of my collection. I find matte dials to be more utilitarian, maybe? My fliegers and dive watch have a matte dial. But my 5KX (desk diver) has a shiny dial.

I've been thinking about a diver as my next watch and a lot of divers go with a shiny dial. For this reason, I'm thinking the BB58 Blue may be a good choice, but I'm still looking

A matte dial is definitely more utilitarian and generally easier to pair with straps. Black is a popular dial color for a reason.

I like lacquer dials the most 😀
