Giving away Wednesday- Let me know if interested below !

I was given a Casio watch last week by fellow Cruncher, Asmara82. His generosity has inspired me to do the same.

I’d really prefer to see this go to a newbie collector/watch aficionado just getting their start in this great hobby or a Nixon enthusiast. I’m sure there are some. Let me know if you are interested. I still might randomly choose someone even if they don’t respond. Who knows.

This watch is a bit unusual and does not see wrist time for me though I often gravitate to what I lovingly deem “oddball watches”. I have put a fresh strap on it as the old one was not so good. I will announce Wednesday who was chosen and mail the watch to them. What we have here:

Nixon “The Ragnar 36”

I will bore you with the specs because I know that’s a way many of us get our jollies. Nothing amazing, but hey my collection has many not amazing yet fun watches.

  • Case: 36 mm W x 36 mm H

  • Bracelet: 16 to 18 mm W

  • Buckle closure with quick-release strap

  • Two-piece case: stainless steel

  • Smooth screw-down case back: stainless steel

  • Comfort bracelet

  • Cover: hardened mineral crystal

  • Buckle: stainless steel

  • Spring pin lugs

  • Stamped dial and colored seconds hand

  • Numeral indices and printed seconds track

  • Custom-molded hands

  • Japanese quartz three-hand movement

  • Analog display

  • Double-gasket crown

  • Date window at 3 o'clock

  • Water-resistant to 5 ATM (165 feet / 50 meters)

That's a neat watch! 😀 But don't pick me, because I don't consider myself a newbie. 😀 Plus, 36mm would look teeny tiny on my 8" wrist, lol. 😜

hi, this is very cool. I am new to watches, i recently bought a Seiko 5, was looking for a square watch recommendation and came across this post

This looks awesome! I just recently (like a week ago) started collecting watches. If you are still looking for someone to pass it on to, I would happily accept! Who knows, maybe someday I'll pass one of mine on to someone else.

That one was actually given to a 17yo young man I encountered not on Watchcrunch.com.

I might do another giveaway. I will keep you informed.

Awesome. Glad it went to someone who is interested!

Keep me posted. I got my first watch for my 16th birthday a few weeks ago and have been obsessed since.

Thanks!
