I’m trying but finding it very difficult. These are my best attempts.

Got any advice?

I Would love to dust off my dslr and get back in to it especially with my budding watch collection, if I only had the time 😫

macro lens and focus stacking are your friend.

I’d love to, but too lazy to pull out my big big camera and setup. So I just chill with my iPhone 😂

·

Photography is my other hobby. Due to family issues I have been away from it for a while, but I’m looking forward to jumping back in! I’ve just started with watches, but I DEFINITELY want to get my macro lens out first some photos of them! Hopefully soon I can post some!

Not for photography, but similar for oil painting. A couple of years ago I blacked out the inside of a cardboard box, cut a horizontal slit in each side and put a clear glass shelf through the centre, so that I could get dramatic lighting for chiaroscuro paintings.

Photography is NOT easy! Try placing your watches in different areas with interesting backgrounds or things that are meaningful to you. Experiment with different lighting and angles. Bryan Peterson is a great down to earth author with several great books about all aspects of photography. Most of all, try new things, experiment, and HAVE FUN!! If you find something you like, replicate it with slight changes and see how it works out. After a while you will gain a second sight to see how you want the photo to look, and then you can set it up how you want it! Good luck and have fun!!!

If i had the time, i would like to

Love taking photos, though I am not as dedicated to it as I once was. I have been getting back into a bit using my x100v which feels both incredibly limiting and freeing 😂 I figure it’s only matter of time till I crack and grab the 90mm macro again.

Thanks I’m hoping that if I photograph my watches, just for me, it might stop me from buying too much, I’ll see if I can get a macro lens for my Olympos.

Thanks that’s all I’m looking for as these will just be for me and something to hopefully stop me buying so many new watches.

Why is it weird to take nice photos of your watch. If you really like looking at them on your wrist then taking a nice photo of nice to have then you want to send someone a picture of the mod…Gahhh!!! ok it’s weird to normal people but we ain’t normal are we 😅

I try to take decent pictures with my phone. I’m not very good at it and they’re pretty amateur. It’s all just for a bit of fun, though. 🤷

This is a nice looking setup
