SWC Logo??

I first saw a YouTube video reviewing the SWC Trench a month or two ago. It was 99.9% positive, the reviewer’s only problem was with the logo. I loved the watch but hadn’t heard of the company and, wanting to be cautious (I’d been stung by foreign internet orders before) I watched a few more reviews and read a few on the web.

After a while I couldn’t resist any longer and ordered one. When I got my new Trench in my grubby hands it was much better than I’d hoped. So I ordered another SWC watch, this time an Ark and when I received it, again, I was impressed by the quality of the watch.

I’ve become a huge SWC fan, I like the design of their watches and I can’t fault their quality. The watches feel like much more expensive watches. Their customer service is also fantastic. I intend, as soon as my wife will let me, to buy another one. I’d like to have one of each of their range, I think they are that good. With all that, a number of different reviewers have criticised the logo.

Am I the only person who actually quite likes their logo? Or are there more of us, hiding away, secretly liking this logo? And what is it about the SWC logo people don’t like?

I have two SWC pieces and I love them also. Great fit and finish. Enjoy your watches.

To me the logo looks like a napkin doodle, not a professional logo.

Combine that with the most dull name imaginable, and it's not hard to see why many don't particularly like it.

·

I honestly can't stand the logo.

It looks like a cartoon bending over 😬

·

The logo looks hand drawn and sloppy, on top of just not being a good design to begin with. 🤷

·

I also love the trench... Except for the fact it has 'Trench' written on it in that giant 'toy army' font.. sigh.

Their logo does not bother me. I am sure it has some meaning behind it. their watches are great. I have several. Try their dive watches. Awesome quality. You can find them on Ebay for a bit less to help with convincing your wife.

I’m not so sure about the massive “TRENCH” plastered on the dial.

I’ve never thought of their logo as a cartoon bending over nor does it look sloppy and hand drawn to me. It is certainly simple, but that is one of its positives, we can see various things in it. To me it’s a stylised wrist watch, my wife sees an old windup alarm clock, like she had as a girl.

The ‘Trench’ on the face of the eponymous watch is bold but for me not over powering. I like a company with such pride in their work they can say its name so boldly.

Came here to say it looks like Cartmann mooning you.

Abysmal logo. And I strongly dislike the font. But opinions are like . . . Well the SWC logo!

·

The logo is fine and the Ark is a great watch. I love mine!

I own a Hyper-G. I love the watch. I don't like the logo. I don't even understand what it is supposed to mean. But the watch is so great that the logo only plays a minor role in the whole story.

SWC could be so much of a stronger company if not by their stubbornness to hire a graphic design company. Who will design several logos adequate to the purpose of the brand. I have to think the owner child bought a logo maker app and now they won’t say no to him.
