there quite common, use a capacitor, which is a fiddly job to replace. just search kinetic and Arctura.
I've been looking for one on eBay, hoping to find one in good condition. Never knew it existed. The more I get into Seiko the more I realize I never really understood the full range of their releases. this is what makes this forum so great. Giving me all kinds of suggestions I never knew existed.

I bought the chrono of ebay 2 weeks ago.. the time legibility isn't the best.. but its just a shelf queen... its heavy and the size is quite chunky.
My "real" watch was a Seiko Kinetic. Loved that watch! Ended up buying another about 22 years after I lost it. I've since sold it. It just didn't have the same appeal as it did when I first got it.

" time legibility isn't the best.." that's the understatement of the year :D I can't simply look down and see the time easily and the stopwatch is worthless if you want to time for more than 60 seconds as it's difficult to work out the minutes scale.
But they are amazing watches, the design and how the watch feels on your wrist. It's the least legible watch I own and it gets more wrist time than most other watches.

Holy cow the second one... What is that! How much is something like that? Me want!
