I ordered the same watch and have had it for a couple of weeks now, such a great watch although I've noticed(somehow) the caseback has been cracked.
The Diastar is a great watch, I was looking at the newly released Green version. I'll get to a store and try it on when I get the chance.
Welcome Daniel, and I'd second some of the comments here regarding Grand Seiko, the Elegance GMTs are lovely.
Won't most destinations you want to ship it to charge their own import duty/sales tax?

The 50% off sales on their whole lineup was not a good look
I thought that but people on the Christopher Ward forum said this was a fairly regular thing for CW as well.
I was able to check out my friend's watch and it is a solidly built watch with two subdials one on top of another on an ivory dial a classic-looking watch and it was under 500 bucks for a chronometer great deal.
They are solidly built watches and COSC certified, on the one hand they weren't cheap but on the other, as mentioned, well built but certainly more expensive than many competitors; e.g. Farer & CW.
