Alpina Startimer - Impulse Buy

I went to the San Francisco outlet mall today (for shoes) and stopped in the Citizen AD store. I didn't know they also sold Alpina watches. I was curious if a 42mm Startimer would fit my 17cm wrist so asked to try one on. It fit, and as I was admiring it the salesman said all the Alpinas were 75% off list for President's Day. The one I had on was just $245! Including Alpina 3 yr warranty. It's the Alpina Startimer in Black PVD with sapphire crystal, on a very comfortable stitched canvas strap. Turned out to be a great impulse buy on the watch (but no new shoes).

Beautiful watch congratulations! Nice purchase

I've never seen an Alpina IRL, the brand has a reputation for being under-rated. Looks awesome!

Awesome pickup mate. Citizen now owns Alpina and sister brand Frederique Constant so probably why you found them there.

Here’s mine from the Alpina community watch project a while back. It’s worth subscribing to their newsletter as I’m sure they will do this again in the future and their subscribers basically vote on a watch build based on recycled parts.

Really like the blue face on your watch. The Citizen dealer did have a large display of Frederique Constant, and every conceivable Citizen. I am very pleased with my Alpina purchase.
