Ball engineer iii ice blue dial

Ball is coming out with this ice blue dial that looks sick. Does anyone have a marvel light? If so what is your opinion on it. I am thinking about purchasing it.

Looking forward to the responses on this one. Currently selling a few budget pieces for the BALL fund, but have never owned one. I’m a fan of the blue nightbreaker dial.

Have owned the original blue dial Marvelight.

Bought the black dial Caring Edition Marvelight in 2020 and had to have the movement serviced within three months.

Pros: great dials, Tritium, nicely finished, great caseback work

Cons: movement issues (per the factory authorized service center), scratch magnet, crappy butterfly clasp

NEVER pay retail new for any Ball watch. They are fantastically overpriced at retail. They are $800 watches selling for $2K

My $0.02, having owned a total of five Ball models and having sold all of them.

Thanks for the info 👍

I can't believe I am reading this. One of my consideration is the Fireman Enterprise as my first proper watch.

I thought the specs were great for the price. Slim enough, tougher than I need with high magnetic protection, tritium tubes etc etc. But there aren't many review online for them.

Of the Ball watches I have owned, the only one I should have kept was a HK version of the Fireman line, model "Ball War Glory NM2188C-S-BK."

Same crappy clasp but a more comfortable case with brushed case/bracelet.

If you want to give Ball a try, wait until Jomashop or Shopworn has some models on sale. And I mean at a significant discount.

Barring a couple of model exceptions, there isn't a model in their current lineup I would pay over $1K for.

I like the Enterprise, which is just shy of 1k at 999. My thoughts was that is a pretty slim watch when we consider the tritium tubes, it's advertised shock and magnetism resistance, all in a 904L (if not mistaken) stainless steel. So I was very impressed. My budget is limited, this is as high as I am willing to pay.

Here’s mine Engineer Marvelight iii

its some watch…… the only thing I don’t like are the polished centre links on the otherwise fantastic bracelet. If I ever get to a position where I could pass a law, I’d make polished centre links illegal, they are a pointless practical measure.

if you’re in doubt about the quality of Ball watches….. don’t be.
