Black Bay 58 Blue - discussion

Hello all,

does anyone have a BB58 Blue and would like to share his experiences and a picture?

I can not get this model out of my head for 2 years since I was allowed to try them on (after 4 months waiting time).

From 2023 perspective im not sure if a purchase is a clever desicion … because other models have the T-Fit claps, a nee crown and a new design for the second hand .. maybe this changes came to this Black Bay model sooner or later 🤔

Glad to read from you 😇

Since the BB54 now comes with the T-fit clasp, I would definitely wait for a bracelet update before committing to a BB58 if you plan on buying new.

I bought the original black dial BB58 along with the controversial PO1 from an ad, enjoyed wearing both, recall except for the blue colour, the 58 watches are identical with regards to physical characteristics. The bracelet is older generation BB Tudor but no complaints, additionally I actually prefer Tudors on the OEM Fabric straps that you can order from the ad. I am accustomed to wearing slightly bigger cases( my preference) so the BB 58 wears and appears smaller on my wrist. The in house movement keeps very accurate time but I do rotate quite a large number of my watches so I cannot comment on how that watch performs with prolong daily wear. Finally my younger daughter absconded with my 58 a few years ago, have been thinking of reaching out to my ad for the blue 58 but they are still waitlisted if briefly. I had hoped that Tudor might launch something interesting but discussions with the SA indicates that the brand is more focused on marketing uni sex models rather than watches that excite.

From the moment I put it on, I knew it was just me. I wear it on rubber, nato, and the bracelet. I've never cared about the rivets and not having adjustment, it fits me fine.

It's gone on multiple vacations with me, been in alpine lakes, across snowfields, up rock climbs, on mtn bike, and looks just as good out to dinner.

If I had one watch, it would be this one

My only complaint was the corners of the lugs were too sharp, but a bit of fine sandpaper and a polishing cloth fixed it.

Hey, thank you for sharing your BB58 Story 😊

I’m thinking about picking one up before they upgrade it with the t-fit clasp. I want to keep the vintage anesthetic of it 😅

Out of the 5 divers (Rolex green sub, Blancpain FF limited edition, BB58 blue, Pelagos 39 & Omega 600M Seamaster) in my rotation, BB 58 got quite a bit wrist time, that says something :)

39mm for a diver is almost perfect, and BB58 blue is also super comfortable to wear on the OEM NATO or on the Uncle Seiko bracelet.

My friend got one, and I think it looks so much better in person than in any online pics I've seen; in-person, the blue dial has a little more 'brilliance' to it but also slightly lighter in shade compared to pics. At first glance I thought he had gotten a blue sub. I couldn't keep my eyes off of his wrist. Had never been tempted to get one before then, but now I'm considering it for my next purchase.
