This Portofino was my first nice "expensive" watch. I still like to wear it today. I like the dial color and to me it is an elegant looking chronograph. What I dislike is it can be a bit of a hassle to change the day/date. Would love to see your IWCs and read what are your likes and dislikes.

I've loved this watch since before I started collecting but for some reason, still haven't pulled the trigger.
I only own one IWC, an Ingenieur, and I love it. Bracelet is super comfortable with amazing Micro-adjust clasp. Applied indices really stand out. Great execution of the date window. Watch is very versatile and can be dressed up or down. Build quality is outstanding. 8 year warranty.
I generally love a lot of IWC designs but I find most of their watches are just too big for me. Want to try the new Mark XX with the reduced lug-to lug. Would love to see a smaller portofino model (38mm) with an inhouse movement.IWC makes beautiful dials. Intrigued to see what they do next with the Ingenieur and Aqua timer collection. I will consider more IWCs in the future if they make watches that fit me and I can afford one. They are not cheap, but I think you understand why they are priced the way they are after you see them in person and try them on. They are a huge step up in quality over most brands.

Totally agree that the quality is a step up! I have an old Aquatimer compressor as well. Unfortunately it hard to get the replacement rubber strap for it.
