I purchased this watch about 3 months ago, I stalked it on their website daily for about 6 months waiting for it to become available.
This isn’t generally my type of watch, it’s a bit more fragile, if that’s the right term to use. It’s powered by the ST19 Seagull movement which was a concern of mine. I’ve read both good and bad regarding the movement. Lorier does regulate the movement which eased my mind a bit. It does keep good time out of the box. The pushers feel solid as well.
The winding action feels nice and smooth, this is my first manual wind watch so take that as you may. It is quite nice to wind it every morning with my coffee.
It has a nice vintage vibe about it with the domed hesalite crystal. I believe it comes in at10.7mm thick, adding the domed crystal it comes in around 13.1mm. Not bad for an automatic chronograph. Even with the single pass nato it doesn’t feel top heavy.
It wears great, it’s very comfortable with most straps. The dimensions are nice, 39mm case, 46mm lug to lug. The bracelet is one of the more comfortable I’ve worn. It was a piece of cake to adjust the solid links too. The lume is okay, it does look cool when it first lights up but fades pretty quickly.
Overall, I think this is a great value at $499. I’m glad I was diligent with my stalking. Lorier adds a polywatch tube and a microsuede travel pouch, which is a nice bonus.

One man's negative, is another man's positive 😂.
I love a good blank caseback, for obvious reasons.
YMMV.
On a MUCH better note, I for one, appreciate the accurate and realistic rating. Kudos! 🍻

Nice! I forgot to mention that they do engraving in the review.
I couldn’t be happier with my Gemini Racer from Lorier and agree with your review, although I don’t mind a blank caseback for engraving either ;) Have had mine for almost a year and it’s definitely my official summer watch!
That’s a great looking summer watch! I dig the yellow.
Hoping to grab one as I was told they’re going to do one last small batch before releasing a new version this fall.

That’s a great one—I was really hoping they’d bring it back but alas they won’t be.
Thanks for trying to be objective and honest. Nice review. Great watch.
I've got a V.1 and have had it for a while now - and I like it, it's a good watch.
Lorier are one of my favourite small brands. Their service is very good, their design language really speaks to me, particularly how they homage (in the true sense of the word) mid 20th C sports watch styling, I'm a sucker for hesalite and respect that they steadfastly use it and the quality per $ is good - especially the bracelet.
Enjoy it.

This is my first hesalite experience and I have to say I love it. It adds a lot of character to the watch.
