Pocket watch ... Stand? Display?

I've had this little beauty for 10 (!!!) years already, this is what started it all for me. Still the only pocket watch I own, for now, but its keeping -1spd time and I'd like to display it or have it on my work desk somehow.

Any recommendations on stands or displays or whatever for these? I did a 30s google search and found some acrylic tripods and glass display cases with hooks to hang them. Looking mostly for feedback if there's any out there from others who display these. Or any creative ideas on how to do so!

Here's an idea. - Sorry if this is a bit too futuristic. - But what if you could take a pocket watch, then attach some sort of strap to it, and then wear it tightly around a body part like a wrist?..

🤔

All jokes aside I'd maybe hire a local woodworker to make a little design for you. Or maybe Etsy will have a ready made one?

Very beautiful watch by the way.

I do want a nice desk clock someday but I'll probably be pretty cheap about it.

This is a good shout, I hadn't thought of checking Etsy. Thanks!

I have mine under a glass dome on a wire hook in a wooden base. It was cheap, commodity grade, like $20, and it's for protection as a hunter cased watch hanging from 3 o'clock doesn't really work for display.

First of all, I'd place prime importance on keeping it from being dripped and away from EMF (as found on the average desk).

There are different types. Etsy and Ebay are the way to go for interesting vintage ones. Like this or this. But for pure funtion, any chintzy jewelry hanger of sufficient heft works.

My friend has his in a “bell jar display case” with a hook. I like the Victorian steampunk look if it.

My grandfather's watch. I believe I found the stand on eBay or Etsy

I see these stands everywhere, I guess there's little to no harm in the pocket watch hanging from the bow like this? I know that's how they're meant to be worn, but they're also 100 years old.
