I bought the watch on the left, knowing it was unrepairable. But learned to disassemble and reassemble a mid-century movement (mostly).
I bought the movement on the right to see if I could service a functional movement. It’s a running Lord Elgin.
Turns out, that movement fits in the case in the left. Here we come Frankenwatch!
I am luckier than I deserve! And I’ve still spent more on tools than vintage watches.
