🚨 🐀 NWA $13 Mickey Mouse 100th Anniversary 🐭 🚨
Stopped in Big Lots today just to look at Halloween decorations, and ran across this. $12.99, Seiko quartz, 2 year warranty (not that that ever really matters), drilled 20mm lugs, and the world's most famous rodent. Gotta love a quartz that gives you the battery size and movement right on the case back. 👍 The strap, although not my style, is plenty long enough (I'm all the way to the first hole with my 7" wrist), and it's pretty supple for cheap leather. I already ordered another from Amazon, though. I just can't do faux-animal grain.
Anyway, It's only been a few hours, but I'm enjoying the heck out of this cheap little gem. I wanted to pick up a rat watch when we were at DW earlier this year, but the only ones I saw were a little expensive, and not really my style. I wasn't sure if this was, but for $13, it was worth a shot. Cheers!

Definitely. Someone on WC has that Citizen with Mickey in an airplane, and the small seconds hand where the propeller should be. Such a cool watch! I've had a few MM watches on my ebay watchlist, mostly by Lorus. There were actually several designs to choose from at Big Lots. For me, it was between this one and a Steamboat Willie one. I may have to go back and grab that one, too. 😁
I bought one of those for $5 on ebay a while back. Turns out it needs a new movement (~$8), which I still haven't ordered. The seller was willing to accept a return, but it wasn't worth driving to the post office and shipping it. I need to get on it and fix it up for my daughter.
When I was in high school, I also had a Lorus MM that had different flags of the world as indices, and played "It's a Small World" as the second hand danced around. I'm not sure what happened to it. 😑

Awesome! I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of this cheap little thing. I picked up an inexpensive two-stitch with gold plated buckle for it on Amazon, which suits me better.
