Chinese watchmaking beauty
I wasn't allways a fan of Chinese watches, they had a bad reputation do to the fake Market which they were very well known. So i wasn't really interessted, i was more reading and looking on japanese watchmaking in Asia, but for the last 3 years one brand stood out to me and it was Behrens which was founded in 2012 in Shenzhen China. They have very inovative and special Watches something that you see on MB&F or Urwerk, the movement that they are using is Miyota 9015 with a in- house module on top of the movement, i love the wandering hour complication but i don't have 100k. So this is a great alternative to those Watches, the price is 2140€ on their Website.
So this is a prove that China can make some beautiful and unique Watches and that it's not all about fakes.
How do you feel about it would you also buy something like this or do you stick to traditional watchmaking, let me know.
i love watches with a rich history and a great craftmanship. I've first came accross a watch in 2014 it was a rado couple and since then i never stoped to learn and collect Watches.

-looks at watch, smiles- "I don't know either"

When you look this good it doesn’t matter what time it is 🤣
It will be a piece of mechanical machine in your hand. Nice. 2000 is still a lot.
IMO, China already makes half of most of our watches, why shouldn't they be able to produce some great pieces?

They have become exceptionally skilled. I have changed my tune regarding some homages. The Steeldive 1970, for instance. I still feel gobsmacked over how good it is. Better than it has any right to be. But the Chinese are moving into haute horology territory. One big challenge will be getting people to see their worth when their own countrymen undercut them with cheaper, but well made clones.
Yes they started by copying & modifying well known brands, building up experience as they went on. But today is a whole different story, they've gained much experience along the years & now able to produce great quality homages for a fraction of the original's price tag. Won't be surprised if they finally produce their own original design with superb build quality.
So personally, "brand heritage" aside, i think EUR 2000 is still debatable depending on the build quality & product specs.
Everything need to step up eventually, swiss used to be China made as well.

I reseved mine yesterday and i checked the watch and i got to say that the quality of the watch feels very good, the strap is also well made, the strap is a little bit stiffer. In all i think that the watch is well priced.

From what i know about the brand is that a group of people founded the company in tribute to the german industrial designer Peter Behrens.

Mogu ti reći da mi nije bilo lako kada sam gledao za ovaj sat i potpuno te razumem. Ja sam stvarno bio iznenadjen kvaliteton i izgledom kada je stigao, proslo je nekoliko meseca od kupovine i jos ga sa zadovoljstvo nosim 🙂
