Maybe he will, maybe he won't, but it was a good topic of discussion nonetheless. And as posted here, others have had similar thoughts. Aiming for 3 from 20-50 is a lofty target. My problem is similar that I may want to sell some but not give them away to a lowballer. Interestingly, the local FB buy/swap has many high end brands listed - but I would not trust any of them. Surely worse than eBay?
I do appreciate the intracacies of an automatic movement. I really should buy a display back model to admire the internals, tho my wallpaper is a close up of an A. Lange & Sohne Calibre L951.6 which is gorgeous!
That's sage advice that I really should subscribe to, but I don't. I wear what I have but continue to buy more. Whether it's the brand or the complications or the design or the colourway - I just can't help myself. It would probably be ok if I could sell ones that I have lost interest in, but generally you offer something for sale and are offered half of its value - hence nearly 20 watches! 😉
I am in the same industry and have the same slogan to follow - the NUM's get to wear one - non-clinical! But I do wear one to work, which goes in the locker when I start, and back on wrist at breaktime, and then at hometime! I can't help myself.
Nope. The only time I don't wear a watch is showering and sleeping. Every morning I go to the collection, have a look and make my selection for the day based on how I feel and what I am getting up to. 8 hours sleep is enough time without a watch, and where's the fun without one?
