If you can afford the watches that are actually worthwhile investments (really only a handful of brands and models) then you don’t really need to be investing in watches in the first place. Just buy what you like and appreciate them.
Mine is an older version with printed markers and arabics
The latest on has applied indices and numbers. Oh and an awesome clasp on the bracelet.
I purchased one Oris back a couple of years (it was some save the ocean model) I felt that is was well made and the bracelet was well done..I just didnt wear it and moved it out of the collection. I need to give them another look..see, Im doing it again..Im trying to downsize!!!LOL
Phenomenal watches. "Hold their value"? Mmmm. No. Maybe certain models. (limited edition, certain dial colors, etc.) Most models nowadays can be bought on the grey market for 30% or more off. Not a whole lot of retention if that big a drop is going to take place within the watches lifespan. Hasn't stopped me from buying a model or six and it being one of my favorite brands.

Exactly , most of us purchase a watch to enjoy..thinking it is a good investment is a fools thought..just enjoy them.JMO
I really don't understand so many are looking at the resale value. I understand that in the event if you were to sell it one day, you can use it to perhaps fund another watches. Its shouldn't be your main consideration.
Like most consumer goods, they depreciate. But at least when buying right (brand new or pre-owned) the depreciate is not as bad as other items.
Buy what you like to wear/enjoy not because of its resale value.

They are excellent watches but not an "investment" watch company. You won't make money buying new. Buy it if you love it and intend on keeping it.
Nice watches but not investments.
No watches are, unless you're already rich, in which case you have much better investment options.
Watches are NOT an investment opportunity!! Buy em, wear em, enjoy em...JMO

Yes Sir. It's the pro pilot big date. It's my a particular favourite of mine.
Simple and a Sellita 200 movement but that means ease of service to me.
