My First Titanium Watch!

Hi, hi, everyone!

I want to show you the new watch that I bought recently: the Invicta Pro Diver 0420.

This is a titanium watch with the magnificent and almost ubiquitous Seiko NH35A Movement (like my other Pro Divers), which is a 24 Jewel Movement with 41 hours power reserve and an accuracy range within -20~+40 seconds per day under normal conditions. The watch has a black dial with a date complication and is 45 mm wide not including the crown, which is the largest size that can suit my wrist. It also has a scratch resistant mineral crystal with a cyclopes over the date.

I bought this watch used, but it was in a very good condition. The only thing that surprised me was that there were some scratches on the titanium bracelet. I guess titanium is not as scratch proof as I thought. But it doesn’t bother me too much, because it adds some character to the watch.

The best thing about this watch is how light it is. It weighs only 111 grams, which is amazing for its size. I compared it to my other smaller 42 - 40 mm Divers, and the difference was noticeable. The 42 mm Fossil Limited Edition Diver was 157 grams, the Invicta in 18k plated gold was 141 gram, the steel Invicta on a rubber strap was only 90 grams, and my plastic case and rubber strap ICE Watch Dive watch was only 52 grams and the lightest. The Fossil being smaller by 3 mm and quartz is a real testament to how light the Invicta is in comparison.

I took some photos of the watch and on a scale comparing the different watches. You can see them below.

I’m very happy with my new watch and I enjoy wearing it, though I wish it was 40 or 42 mm.

Soon, I'll write up a review on the Gold Pro Diver. I hope you all have a great day. 😊

Good review.

I have to admit that I have never heard the NH35 described as magnificent and almost ubiquitous.

Almost ubiquitous for sure. Regarding accuracy… that’s just a seiko CYA spec number to reduce returns, that says more about factory regulation than actual expected accuracy. I have about a dozen NH35, all of which I time, and only one was near those numbers. After regulation adjustment, that one is typically 3 spd, unless it has no power reserve. Excellent value movement IMHO. Congrats on the new watch. I hope you enjoy it for a long time.
