Couldn't resist that dial!!

My first San Martin and I'm loving this dial and color combo!! The screws in the bracelet however are a bit disappointing. They are so tight I just about stripped um out. Lucky I have this Islander bracelet from my Bethpage chrono and it slipped right in like butter and I'm loving the look!! I'll get the stock bracelet put in check but for now๐Ÿ˜Žyes....I can dig it!!!

I had to use penetrating oil once and let it sit for a day before I could work the screws loose on one of my wife's bracelets. It wasn't a SM but it did work pretty well. I also had to use the penetrating oil again recently on a NOS pin and collar bracelet that must've sat in the shop for many years and wouldn't budge. Congratulations though on your SM, I'm definitely grateful for what they are bringing to the watch space.

Try a bit of heat, that usually works.

Nice watch ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘

I have been contemplating on getting their Tudor 58 homage. I donโ€™t usually buy homage brands but I did pick up the Pagani speedmaster homage to see if I would like to own an Omega Speedmaster and I have to say I was very impressed with the Pagani. How is Sam Martin compared to Pagani and do you think itโ€™s worth buying instead of the real deal?

As @Inkitatus points out, put the bracelet in a small toaster oven (not a microwave!) for a few seconds once it's hot. That helps with the bracelet screws.

I ruined a pair of admittedly cheap screwdrivers I got in a kit on AliExpress trying to size a bracelet a while back (stripped the screwdriver instead of the screw). Even with a more expensive screwdriver, it took some cursing and a slip and stab on one of my fingers before I was able to get it sized.

Funny, when I got my Tudor BB GMT, the AD must have had a similar issue because I noticed in the car that a screw was sticking out on the bracelet. When I tried to screw it back in at home, it was really stuck and I guessed that the AD must have just moved to another screw to finish sizing it to get me on my way (got lucky and found one near closing time accompanying my wife to the mall). Annoying but at the end of the day fixable with a little elbow grease (my wife was madder than me that they left it in that state).

Or even a cup of boiling water helps ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

I have four San Martin watches and never had any issues with bracelet screws but if i did on any watch with screws on the bracelet a little heat to soften the locktite will get them loose if it has been applied.
