Confusing G-Shocks...

I recently bought a Casio Royale and now i´m looking for a new G-Shock. I was looking at the following three models and i just don´t understand the big price difference:

GW-M5610-1        129,00 €

GW-B5600MG-1   139,00 €

GW-5000U-1         299,00 €

Why is the 5000U-1 more than double of the price of the others? And is it worth it?

I just don´t understand, the features should be pretty the same.

These are all solar and atomic radio-sync watches right? No Bluetooth or anything like that?  Maybe it just comes down to the availability of each style—sometimes all black comes at a cost due to demand, but I don’t know a ton about G-shocks.

The GW-5000U-1 is an homage to the original DW-5000C, is tough solar, multiband 6, and is rarer as it was originally a Japan-only model - and it is not a current model. The rarity and homage aspect make it more expensive.

The GW-B5600MG-1 is a tough solar, Bluetooth, multiband 6 with green accents - and is not a current model.

The GW-M5610-1 is a tough solar with multiband 6 (no Bluetooth) - and is a new, currently available model.

The Bluetooth feature on square G-Shocks seems to have moved up to the more expensive metal models.

Thank you very much!

So it´s more about the model itself and not just function.

GW-M5610-1 is a square with atomic clock (GW-M5610U-1 is the latest updated model)

GW-B5600MG-1 is like the above but with additional bluetooth time sync (unnecessary if you have good atomic clock reception)

GW-5000U-1  is a premium version of the GW-M5610U-1 with the exact same module, this adds a stainless steel case under the rubber shell and has a nicer softer strap and is made in japan

I own a both GW-M5610-1 and a GW-5000U-1 and i must say the gw 5000u feels a lot more substantial. Not that the gwm5610 feels cheap in any way, it's still great value for money. The gw5000u is also slightly larger and heavier than the gwm5610 which makes the gwm5610 a bit more comfortable.

So in my opinion if you have the money to spare go for the gw-5000u, if you're on a tighter budget you're not missing out on anything by getting the gwm5610

gw5000u is a current model and is not rare on every market, it's readily available in europe and japan at least. It's also not really a homage, in that sense every square is an homage, i think you confuse this with a limited edition anniversary square gshock that casio does every 5 years. What makes it more expensive is the premium built and it's made in the japan gshock factory where all premium gshocks are made

If you live somewhere that gets decent radio signals for multi-band 6, I would not waste your time on a Bluetooth square. The 5610 is an incredible value, the 5000U is a premium materials version of it made in Japan with a more muted color scheme, steel DLC coated case (with screw-down caseback) and a more supple strap and a nicer-looking brushed buckle. I loved my 5610 so much I bought the 5000U to keep it looking stock and modded my 5610 with a steel case and band. I love both!
