My watch journey in chronological order. Part 3

Getting into the watch world deeper and deeper i was looking for one I could use every day, anywhere, that can take a beating and still look cool. During that time the internet was flooded with praise for the G-Shock GA-2100. So I also pulled the trigger especially because 89€ is reeeeaally affordable in comparison.

As soon as it arrived I loved it. It was durable precise, useful and I coult take it everywhere like to work, swimming, sports etc.

Over the following time I developed a feeling of discomfort with the rubber strap that the watch came on. It felt a little stiff and tight and didn’t fit to my wrist very well.

Then I accidentally stumbled across a modding kit for the watch that looked extremely cool and I immediately had to get it. The result can be seen in the picture. It now feels heavier as the case is made from metal and therefore feels even more durable. Also the strap is way more comfortable now. With this simple modding trick I feel like I have a completely new watch, fell in love with it again and it got significantly more wrist time since then.

Have you ever modded a watch? And how do you like the result? 🛠️🕖

Looks good. Maybe I should give it a go on my wifes CasiOak. It doesn't get to much wrist time, maybe this would help.

I have modded tona of straps if that counts and regulated lots of movements.

Also I bleached the bezel of a Seiko Turtle I used to own. Turned out pretty cool with a vintage ghosted look

It helped for me at least. Changed the whole watch up. Just like a strap change on another watch 😋

The bleached bezel sounds really interesting!
