Goldsmiths is generally my least-preferred place to browse watches. While they’ve never actively-refused me the opportunity to try on a watch, they’ve never encouraged it, either. The staff are mostly knowledgeable and polite but I’ve rarely found an enthusiast; they mostly come across as professional salespeople.
Did the same last week in Cardiff. Went to a few watch shops and all were empty so didn’t feel guilty taking up a salespersons time and they were all really helpful and interested. The omega boutique was intresting was offered a discount on a x33 mars timer and a ladies aqua terra but they had a display in the window of a white speedmaster dial. I asked about this and they confirmed it’s coming soon and isn’t limited

I was the only person in there so they seemed more than happy to let me try on a few watches and even suggested I take some pictures to help with future buying decisions. Fraser Hart was the same with the Tudors.

That speedy does look good, as do the Cartier’s, i also feel guilty about going in if the place is busy
SM300 is near perfect, make it 39-ish and take my money 💰 😍. NTTD looks and feels amazing too.
I’m not sure if I’d like it as much if it was 39mm
I really wanted to like the Tudor BB 58, Pelagos 39 but for some reason I just don’t get on with dive watches under 40mm 🤷♂️filed watches yes but just not dive watches

Make sense, diver has to be legible. Since nowadays divers are just a design , I take it from the presence on a wrist stand point. I like SM300’s case and lugs, I wouldn’t switch it to twisted lugs from SMP. Now with a size of 41 and vintage-like lugs, I’d like it to keep the same proportions but get the presence down.

The brown one is just wicked.

Love 'em both, prefer the heritage model. Big Omega fan 😁👍
Seamaster 300 is lush, beautiful and under the radar. Lovely!!

I liked the Seamaster 300 much more than I expected to
That 300 heritage is 😍😍
Yes I don’t bother if they are busy and I’m not buying but watch shops are empty around here at the moment
I loved the speedy as it has a less tapering bracelet it’s just like the older one that I love but with an on the fly adjustment
The moon looks amazing. I’m thinking it might be my next big puchase later this year. The santos was leading that race until I tried on the moonphase
So many watches so little money 😂
