Seeking Recommendations: Watches with Both Moon Phase and World Time Complications

Although many people say that the moon phase complication on watches is relatively impractical. However, the city where I live is close to the coast, and the tides have a certain impact on us. Therefore, being able to determine the upcoming tidal conditions by simply checking the moon phase on a watch and making corresponding arrangements would be of great help to us.

Additionally, due to work, I sometimes need to travel across different time zones, so having a watch with GMT or world time functionality would also be beneficial to me.

However, after searching for a while, it seems difficult to find watches that combine both moon phase and world time complications. Does anyone have any recommendations for such a watch model? Thank you

Matt, you do realize they make apps for that? And there are tidal forecasts available online (Much more accurate)

That said, that particular combo exists. Here is the Longines version. Ball makes one too.

Yes…instead of depending on watch for these two requirements …we can use App which gives perfect results…moonphase and GMT functionality gives average measure …not perfect one…and you have to spend much for getting such functionality watch…where we can have these two functionalities absolutely free or at negligible price.Afterall it depends person to person how we take it..

Yes, thank you very much for your suggestion. I do understand that with today's technology, using apps or computers can easily and inexpensively achieve the above purposes. The reason I like to use a watch is, on one hand, because it allows for immediate and convenient access to information (without having to pull out a phone or computer), and on the other hand, it's truly because I'm somewhat old-fashioned and really appreciate the simple beauty of craftsmanship and technology. (Especially since I'm currently educate my children not to rely too much on technology and to engage more with and understand nature.)

This Longines model looks great, thank you for the recommendation. It would be even better if there was a slightly smaller dial available.

Not sure if this will float your boat (pun completely intended) but there are G-Shocks with tide graphing/moon phase functions. Some even has Bluetooth connectivity to your smartphone so that it will follow your phone's time as you cross timezones. They're pretty cool

Funny you should ask...if you're open to G-Shocks, the GBX-100 models have world time, moon phase and tide graph functions in a modern Casio with an easy to read MIP display, along with Bluetooth connectivity to ensure consistent accuracy.

I hate to break it to you, but a watch is technology as well 😉😂

+1 I've had this watch for over a decade now. I think it's just the older version, and is still available. Moonphase, rough tide estimate, worldtime, stopwatch, alarm etc. It's loaded.

What about one of those new Citizen Tsuki-yomi?

They have moonphase and you can switch time zones quickly (crown first position). But there is no world time complication.
