Chrono 24

Ive been looking at this site for a few years now, but never made a purchase. Does anyone have any experience good or bad that they can share. Looking at a watch for the wife in the UK, says free shipping to Canada. Just want to know if I can trust everything. Thanks

I’ve bought and sold there. Once the watch arrives you confirm delivery then have seven days to authorise payout (or not.)

I find eBay better in that it goes via a third-party authenticator (thus protecting both the buyer and the seller.)

If a watch goes internationally you’ll have taxes to pay of course.

I have bought 8-10 watches without any problems & have sold a similar number without any problems either.

I have sold to individuals outwith the UK but I have to admit to feeling uncomfortable doing so & would always prefer to buy & sell from/to an individual or retailer from the UK.

I have always felt more at risk as a seller than a buyer. The reason for that is that I only buy from "professional dealers" rather than individuals. I do always find out as much as I can about the dealer before purchase though.

I agree with what's already been posted. I've purchased several watches without issue, both from professional dealers and individual sellers. But it pays to find out as much as you can before you commit to arranging a purchase.

I purchased 2 JDM watches from there shipped to Canada. Zero issues. Just bear in mind that private sales have no obligation for returns, so I stick to professional dealers myself personally.

I received a watch last night that I purchased via C24. It's my second international purchase on the app and so long as you buy from a dealer it will work out well. Check their reviews and ask about them on WC. Both watches came in brand new, perfect condition. No issues and I recommend buying from C24.

I’ve had no issues with them. They are among the more reputable places (with some safe guards in place) to buy a watch online. Someone mentioned the the third party Authenticator on eBay, which is also a nice feature but also realize that this is all the Authenticator will do . . . “Does it appear to be that watch in question?” Nothing about quality or condition will be reviewed and there’s a big question mark as to how closely they Authenticate. Buying from professional dealers with good ratings anywhere online including Chrono is a safe bet and many do offer some limited warranty.

Awesome, everyone really appreciate the help. Everyone is making me feel so much better and more comfortable.

I’ve bought once from a private seller with no reputation. Granted, it was only $400, but it went fine.

I have bought about three times successfully, and sold twice within the US sucessfully.

I was also scammed once when selling a watch. In that instance Chrono 24’s service was completely useless, and allowed the recipients money to be returned to them. I would always recommend that you insure your item to the max, because on the off chance that you have a problem, Chrono 24 (despite their advertising) will not help.

I would recommend using the forums. You get a better price, and there is at least some info about your buyer available.
