How much would you spend?

atm i m in the bidding. Not sure how much i d go for. It s new, comes from an online- shop. Though there s no Swatch store in about 200 km around i m stuck to the second market sadly.

My self set price limit is about 200€. Do you think that is too much?

Wouldn't want one myself, but if it makes you happy & it's "disposable income" then go for it. Never skip bills or go into debt for a watch.

Exactly

If new I can't imagine it going for that much lower than retail. They still sell out as soon as they're restocked.

...how much would I pay? Before we got ours I said I wouldn't pick one up online, and we'd wait until we were at a store and they had some.

I recently bought a Mission to Mercury. Paid retail price from a Swatch store.

As an owner I can tell you two things.

1) never pay over retail! It’s simply not worth it.

2) most are not a good purchase new from a flagship store because of the quality control issues. You really need to get hands on with what you are buying. most in the store, all brand new, that I handled had QC issues. Being so fragile as well, if they’ve been worn, they won’t be in the condition you’d like when purchased 2nd hand.

My advice, just wait until you or someone you know can get to a store that has stock. The supply and demand tide has turned. Stock is far more available than it was, (Montreal, where I bought mine had lots of all models, store was empty, no queuing) plus they aren’t limited edition.

I thought they were cool on release date, almost drove 6 hours to get one. Decided to not. Said I'd never pay over retail, so I'd wait.

Then the reality of what it is hit...

Decided I didn't want to spend ~$300 USD on a cheap plastic novelty.

If you want it, get it, but never pay over retail.

I did buy one, but for a Cruncher that wanted one and because I was in Las Vegas for another reason already. Maybe try that.

Ok, i ve secided not to go above 230€. Atm i m in the race. But it never would be such a big deal when it s a miss. I d like to have one because of the looks, but otherwise the try was worth it

·

Ok, it s gone for 300+€. I m ok with it since i didn t want it that badly

·

Pretty much all the models are still trading for over retail, albeit not much.

I'd offer to go get you one, I live near the Munich Swatch store, but it'll cost me €12 for the train into the city, plus postage to you, plus the €260 retail price.

That's why they're still over retail. But don't be put off by all the negative comments, I love mine, they're not fragile, the colour doesn't run and they're good fun.

I think it’s a lucky escape, that one doesn’t look quite right in that photo.
