I definitely agree with you on this! It is very similar to an SKX, but I think of its look as an SKX on steroids. A similar bold look, but with applied indices, a more subtle date location along with removal of the day, and different colors for the hands all make for a slightly more aesthetically pleasing dial. It is also a strap monster, and looks great on a nato, a rubber strap, or a leather strap. I have it on a rubber/leather hybrid strap in this picture.
Citizen fit and finish is superb. Very nice example.

Citizen or Orient are the kings now IMO. You can also get CHEAP used Certina or Tissot 😁
