Vintage Omega

Hello guys, my first post on here. Can anyone identify this watch, I can't seem to find the ref. num. anywhere. It doesn't say anything in the back.

Looks 50s-ish with the logo and linen dial.

If you can unscrew/pop the caseback, you'll be able to see the calibre and reference/serial numbers which should help google search.

Can you show us the reverse, does it look like it's a screw down or press-fit caseback?

I'm thinking of the same ballpark, maybe early 60s. The watch reference should be stamped on the inside of the caseback, the movement reference will be stamped on the movement itself, 3 digits beneath the Omega symbol. The serial number (which will get you to the date of manufacture) will be 8 digits on the movement.

The Mrs has just unearthed a '67 but I can't release the caseback, so rather than scratch it when trying I will be taking it to the local watchmaker to do that.

The model number will be found on the inside of the case back. Once you find the number, you will be able to find information on the watch. When open, you will also see the number of the watch and then will be able to determine when the watch was manufactured. Nice watch. Really like the linen dial.

Late 1950s or even 1960s the fact you have not popped the back tells me it is a later watch, the earlier models in my own experience were easily opened with a watchmaker’s blade. I had so many that looked like that before, never appreciated they were each special. Congrats on a lovely Omega!

This is the back, just a snap off. But I can't seem to find the small like indentation from where I need to open it
