Captain Cook 42mm in Black (or even the 37mm). Should I?

A slight update. Just started my gig as a watch and jewellery sales rep down in South Australia. I was initially gunning for the Zulu Time, but now the Captain Cook has caught my eyes. I usually don’t like bigger watches, but something about the Jubilee bracelet just makes it “just right” on my 6.5 inch wrist. It still is a big watch though… Thoughts?

Stick with the Longines Zulu Time or get the Captain Cook?

Stick with the Longines Zulu time I think it's much more of a watch, I love Captain Cook but I like Longines much more.

Stainless steel Rado? I mean there is the ceramic version available... Just my 2 cents, you wear what speaks to you.

If you get a captain cook get the 42mm. I have a 165mm wrist and the 42mm fitted fine and IMO wore smaller than actual size.

My CC was on a beads of rice bracelet which looked good but had no micro adjustment so I struggled to get a good fit.

The ceramics is cool and I actually really like it, but I really like the beads of rice bracelet. The ceramic is good because of the durability. One of the reps in my store has a watch from the 80s and it still look like it was worn for only 5 years tops. The scratch resistance to daily wear and tear is no joke. Main thing holding back from the ceramic is price. 5000$ Aus for a Rado is a lot to ask for, that’s Omega money.

Yeah that’s why I kinda want to get one. Still deciding with the 37mm, but leaning to the 42mm. If I do get Longines Spirit it’ll be 37mm, 39mm if it’s the Zulu Time

My only gripe about the captain Cook is that it is too large for the retro look... Ceramic case and band modernize the look and maybe validates the size, I don't know. I have two Rados, the ceramic one looks just as good now as it did 15 years ago.

You got good eyes mate. Rado has always been class - since the 70s. Even the so called homages; they hit different. Do your homework on them :)

Everyday I’m looking and thinking, I hope Rado can hook me up, or Baumé. Will see
