Do you also obsess with the alignment of the minute hand with the dial minute marks?

Implying that when you set time you wait for the second hand to be at 12hrs, hack the seconds, and then set the time making sure that the minute hand is perfectly aligned with the minute mark on the dial

I'm not obsessive enough to do that.

E. No and I’m not lying. I don’t work at CERN or NIST.

·

Impossible. I don’t think you exist, @colorvortex

I was very annoyed the other day when my quartz Timex was observed hitting noon and the minute hand was a smidge off. I don't own a mechanical watch that hacks, so I'm free of care there.

I have serviced many non-hacking vintage movements. When putting the hands back on, I'll be lucky if they're only a few seconds out. I don't require that level of precision in my life.

Yes, but I may be lying.

anyone who does not obsess over this is an untrustworthy weirdo IMO
