My first 'real watch' was a 36mm version of this Rolex. I think it was less then 2k back in the late 70's..We discovered one of the movers stole it when we moved. Sadly I had left it in my dresser drawer because it was do to go in for service..We were building our house and everything stayed in storage for about 6 months and when I did discover to gone it was to late...So....when I got the call from my Jeweler I said Okay. Amazing how once she heard the story of my last one she said" I'll get you the 41mm new one" and she did in about three weeks...It was crazy money (but less than MSRP) I'll enjoy it..
