I usually prefer metal bracelets too.
I'm a bracelet guy, solid links and endlinks are a must. I dont handle rattling metal vary well. Digging the collection bro!!

I understand that well, I often find watch straps more awkward to put on. With a greater chance that you will drop the watch.
It depends on the watch and purpose. My collection is about 60% bracelet 40% strap. Also when it's cold outside (like 1/3 of a year in Finland), a strap doesn't freeze your wrist.

In that case I would also choose a watch strap 🥶
For me 60% leather strap 30 % bracelet and 10% velcron
