I’m considering purchasing a Omega Seamaster on the bracelet but want the rubber strap as well. Should I buy the deployant or buckle variaton. Is one more durable right r secure? What should I buy? I‘d probably prefer whatever is more rugged. (If one of them even is? Thoughts?

I always replace very gawd damn buckle with a clasp. Buckle makes me super nervous.
Do you care more about comfort or the longevity of a consumable part?

Longevity, as long as it isn’t to uncomfortable.
The only watches I would buy with deployant are Omega. Given the "Omega style" deployant that tucks the loose end under the wrist, they're super comfortable!
In fact, all ~40 or so straps of mine are custom straps, made to fit Omega-style deployants. Super clean, super comfortable!
Omega's deployants are amazing. To me, it's the only way to go.

Where do you buy your strap/clasp combinations if you don’t mind me asking?

There are 3 sources I use:
In the case of Delugs custom straps, you just have to know how to configure all the information in their custom order web form to get Omega-style deployant straps made. Or in the case of @Jericho, you gotta know what info to email him.
If you need help figuring out all the Byzantine stuff for a custom Omega-style deployant strap, let me know, and I can share my configurations via DM!
